Media Day 2024, presented by Motion Agency, was a success. Cincinnati PRSA hosted its annual Media Day at Memorial Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Responding to the impact of emerging technologies on PR, Media Day 2024 focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and how it can be incorporated with PR. With this year's theme, “The Future is Now: Exploring New Technologies and Emerging Practices in PR," attendees learned about the growth of AI, best practices, future opportunities, media relations, and AI generation. Attendees also donated books for Queen City Book Bank, in support of their mission to “champion the development of literacy.”
The day started off with a session presented by the Better Business Bureau entitled AI Here, AI There, AI Everywhere. Morning sessions addressed significant changes in local media organizations and the intersection of AI and workplace policies. Afternoon sessions addressed managing news coverage during an election year and AI ethics.
The day closed with a fireside chat between Dawn Parks and Christopher Brock. Dawn is the Director of NKU’s BizAccessHub and founder of the Small Business AI Bootcamps “I didn’t know you could do that with AI!” Christopher is the CEO of Primary Hosting, a Native American-owned tech company in Cincinnati, Ohio, specializing in AI, IoT, and cloud brokerage. The two experts talked about the possibilities and potential of AI, how leading brands are harnessing the power of the latest tools, technologies, and platforms.
Thanks to The Motion Agency for sponsoring this year’s Media Day, and thanks to Givaudan for sponsoring the closing Happy Hour. Thanks as well to all of our panelists, speakers, and attendees. Your participation makes Media Day a cornerstone event every year!
